When Anne Hammick started research on the first edition of Atlantic Islands back in 1987, few would have guessed the changes which 25 years would bring. Facilities for yachts have improved immeasurably in all four island groups, bureaucracy has decreased and, from being seen mainly as convenient stepping stones on the Atlantic passage, all the archipelagos are now accepted as cruising destinations in their own right. The fifth edition of Atlantic Islands builds on solid foundations - the author's long familiarity with the area, an invaluable network of local contacts, and the constant flow of information and feedback received from yachtsmen and women during the lifetime of the previous edition. In 2010 the author set out to visit and photograph almost every harbour featured in the book, and while preparing the text and plans the following year was kept updated about on-going developments by cruising friends 'in the field'. Passage waypoints are now included - though these should, as always, be used with caution - in addition to many harbour plans available nowhere else. Nearly 300 new photographs illustrate the fifth edition, most from the author's own collection, and the use of colour for indexing and cross-referencing has also been increased. Whether you seek authoritative pilotage information, comprehensive details of available facilities, or simply suggestions for planning an enjoyable cruise, you will find them all in the fifth edition of Atlantic Islands.

AVAILABLE DIGITALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME Nash Kirkland doesn't believe in magic. But when he hires self-proclaimed witch Morgana Donovan as a great 'resource' for his new supernatural film, he suddenly finds himself falling under her spell. Nash has never trusted his feelings, but the alluring Morgana has released an irresistible passion in the usually cool-headed screenwriter. The question is - are those feelings real, or are they just some conjurer's trick? Morgana has her own doubts - despite her strong feelings for Nash. She can understand his scepticism about her powers. But can an ordinary man really handle falling in love with a rather extraordinary woman? Captivated can be read as a spellbinding standalone novel. It is also the first book in The Donovan Legacy, which features cousins Morgana, Sebastian, Anastasia and Liam. The series continues with Entranced, Charmed and Enchanted - all now available as eBooks for the first time. Includes a preview of Entranced.

In 1974, pictures appeared in magazines and newspapers of Protima Bedi streaking down a road in the centre of Bombay in broad daylight. There was immediate uproar. The incident was, in many ways, the culmination of a life of youthful rebellion and brash sexuality that Protima, the scandalous model and wife of the rising star of Bollywood, Kabir Bedi, had lived ever since she ran away from home to live 'in sin'. Barely four years later, the glamorous flower child had reinvented herself as an accomplished classical dancer, a devotee of Goddess Kali, and chosen the sari over slit skirts and halter-necks. Shortly before her death, she had shaved her head and decided on a monk's life. She died in August 1998, in a landslide in the Himalayas while on a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar, leaving behind her most lasting achievement-a flourishing dance village, Nrityagram, where students continue to learn the classical dance styles of India. Few lives have been more eventful and controversial than Protima Bedi's, and Timepass, derived from her unfinished autobiography, journals and her letters to family, friends and lovers, is a startlingly frank and passionate memoir. Protima recounts with unflinching honesty the events that shaped her life: her humiliation as a child at being branded the ugly duckling, repeated rape by a cousin when she was barely ten, the failure of her 'open' marriage with Kabir Bedi, her many sexual encounters, and the romantic relationships she had with prominent politicians and artistes. She writes, too, of her involvement with dance, her relationship with her guru and fellow dancers, the difficult mission of establishing Nrityagram, and the suicide of her son-a tragedy from which she never fully recovered. In a moving afterword to the book, her daughter, Pooja Bedi, describes her last days and the circumstances of her death. Illustrated with over fifty photographs, Timepass is the story of a remarkable woman who had the spirit, the courage and the intelligence to live life entirely on her own terms.

The new, revised, and complete edition of the classic standard work on the world's bayonets, combining all original four volumes into one book. With detailed drawings (original drawing numbers preserved) and information on more than 1000 bayonets and scabbards, it is organized alphabetically by country, and with indices on length as well as on markings and manufacturers. The most important difference between the original 4 vol. set is the classification of the information. Originally classed by overall length, this edition is arranged into 'nationality' chapters, depicting and describing the bayonets by the end-user's country-- not the manufacturer.
